What to expect at   Shady Creek Farm.

At Shady Creek Farm we are here to support you throughout your entire stay with us. We will take care of everything from meal preparation, planning daily activities, getting you to and from your activities, and much more so that you don’t have to worry about a thing.

While you are staying with us, you will have the opportunity to try new and exciting activities that will help you to learn and develop new skills. You’ll also get to meet some amazing people on the way including our staff and other participants staying at Shady Creek Farm – it’s a fantastic way to stay social and make new friendships all while doing something different from your normal day to day!

Our farm can accommodate groups of up to 3 participants at a time across our 4 bedrooms.

The farm itself is set back from the road providing a safe, quiet and private environment for everyone who stays with us.

​

We provide breakfast, lunch and dinner so that you don't have to lift a finger!

Animal Therapy

Shady Creek Farm was established to provider Respite Care to NDIS participants for short term stays.

 

Our focus is to give you a new, fun and exciting experience different to your normal routine, whilst empowering you to learn and develop new skills to help you remain as independent as you choose.

​

You'll also get to meet new people, build new friendships and interact with lots of farm animals!

Our staff are here to help you on a daily basis to ensure you have access to the support you need.

 

We are able to help with Personal Assistance tasks such as dressing, showering, toileting and more, to make sure you enjoy your stay at Shady Creek Farm and can make the most of your experience with us.

We're here to ensure your stay with us is completely hassle free!

Animal Therapy builds on a concept called the Human-Animal bond. This can have a positive impact on your mental wellbeing, help to reduce anxiety and stress and overcome emotional barriers.

 

Our trained Animal Therapist will tailor this service to your needs and you'll be able to participate in feeding the animals, grooming them, patting them, and caring for them as a way of building a connection.
